For February I read Great Expectations by Charles Dickens, a book I have been meaning to read. It is the story about a young boy Pip and follows him as he grows and becomes a better person. He starts the story with good luck and great expectations, both of which he loses, but he gains something more through his adventures, and misadventures. I enjoyed this book, and appreciated the style and language, which fits its time (published in 1861). I would recommend this story, despite its seemingly slow start.
