For the month of March, I read the novel, A Rose for Melinda by Lurlene McDaniel.  The book is about a very talented ballet dancer, Melinda, who has leukemia.  During a summer intensive, into which only some of the highest dancers in the country are admitted, Melinda collapses.  She is rushed to the hospital, and blood tests say she has leukemia.  Melinda struggles to keep her career within reach while stuck in a hospital.
