I read a book called fever. Now, this book takes place in Philadelphia at the time of the yellow fever. The main character of this book is Matilda. She works at a coffee shop with her mother and an African american lady. Now from reading  Matilda reactions and dialogue I can tell that she’s very lazy and doesn’t like doing a lot of work. But that all changes when her mother gets sick and her friend Polly dies. Because now she has to work way harder than before to survive.
