For April, I read Counting By 7s, written by Holly Goldberg Sloan. This is an amazing book and I recommend it for people who love a heartwarming story. This book starts off with child prodigy Willow Chance is accused of cheating on a state test and getting sent to counseling. There she meets Dell Duke, her counselor. One afternoon after her counseling session she returns home to police cars parked outside her house with all the lights turned off. After some explaining she finds out that there has been an accident and her adoptive parents are now dead. She is now forced to live in a temporary home with her best friend Mai Nguyen until she finds another place to call home, where she just might be able to keep counting by 7s.
