The book Telesa: The covenant keeper by Lani Wendt Young is about a girl named Leila who moves to her moms side of the family in Samoa after her dad passes away. She is not really used to the environment. While she’s in Samoa she figures out something so astonishing she becomes speechless. She figures out she is a Telesa. A Telesa is a myth: one of the most powerful people of the earth. She is a rare one she is the Fire God. With the help of her guy friend(they fall in love eventually) she figures everything out. She finds out that her mom that had died along time ago when she was little didn’t actually die she left them(referring to Leila and her father). But that not the end of her adventure, it’s just getting started.
