This is actually one of my favorite books of all time and it helped satisfy my love of historical fiction. It tells about an average fifteen-year-old Lithuanian girl in 1941 named Lina. She paints, she draws, she gets crushes on boys. Until one night when Soviet officers barge into her home, tearing her family from the comfortable life they’ve known.
I want to read this book because I already watched this on Netflix and it is interesting. DIalouge-: “I hope you’re ready because I’m about to tell you the story of my life. More specifically, why my life ended. And if you’re listening to these tapes, you’re one of the reasons why.”
