The Giver is about a 12-year-old boy named Jonas. He lives in a society where there is no pain, war, deep feelings, or color. When he turns 13, he is chosen to be the receiver of memory, who stores everyone’s memory. Jonas must choose how he will feel about all of the new feelings he is about to occur. There are many good memories stored in his mind, but also many negative things that will affect Jonas.
