One of my favorite books was “wonder” by Raquel Jaramillo. The theme was very short, but very strong. “Don’t judge a book by its cover.” The main character August Pullman has been homeschooled his whole education life because of his complicated health problem. Something that ruins the way your face looks. They tried everything to fix it. But when August turns 10, the parents realizes that August needs to see reality so he goes to a public school. Middle school. Auggie (August) finds three new “friends” because the principal wanted him to feel comfortable. Charlotte, Jack, and Julian. Jack suddenly talks back behind his back but doesn’t realize Auggie was listening to him. Jack felt guilty so he became real friends with auggie. Julian in the other hand does not like that concept of him being friends. I really don’t want to spoil the book but this book is a book I will never forget. It has that reality vibe and how to survive middle school vibe. I would rate this a 8/10
