In June, I read Shadow and Bone. This book is amazing and I recommend it to everybody who has a second to spare because this book will make you hungry for more. This book follows Alina Starkov as she and her best friend Mal enter the Unsea. When she finds that Mal is in danger, she finds herself calling something from within her, making her the Sun Summoner. As the Darkling finds more about her power, he takes her away from everything she knows and to the Little Palace. After months of being there with gruesome study hours, combat training, and Grisha training, Alina finds herself getting closer to the Darkling and he is starting to take an interest in her, more interest than he has showed anything else. I would say more about this book and the sequel but that would be too much and this book is worth all that time spent reading.
