For the month of June, I read The Martian by Andy Weir.  I recommend you read it, even if you’ve seen the movie.

A biologist named Mark Watney is stranded on Mars in a huge storm with a broken- off antennae stuck in his stomach.  In his struggle to survive he must perform surgery on himself, repair everything broken in the storm, find a way to get more food, and regain contact with Earth.  I won’t spoil it for those of you who haven’t read/seen it, but you definitely should.
